In 2006, we could take Em anywhere and she loved nothing more than sitting on a pet-friendly patio and being showered with attention and food. I could just as easily visit a winery as a route and be happy doing it. Great if your dog is like that! You can do almost anything for your child’s holiday!
Cooper, though… not a coupe at all. Stress him out in public. Every time I take him to the Patio Cafe to exercise he is so excited that he won’t eat any food, even if I ask him for something tasty like his own scrambled eggs! This kind of vacation can be more than just a fun, enriching, bonding experience. However, he loves training. He likes to run. He likes to walk. He loves physical challenges, and we haven’t been able to do much of that since Violet arrived, so we decided to take Coop on vacation this year, taking him on more trips than we’ve been able to in two years. .
So we found a pet-friendly rental cabin near the park we wanted to visit and off we went!

In the end, our story had a happy ending and our dog was found, but we learned several important lessons:
