Where to change And where is there more companionship for my species, dogs, the largest breed, than in Florida, of course, our neighbor to the south?

My mother has been going to the Gulf Coast all her life, but she has only ever brought me

Some ridiculously nice people are letting us sleep at their house for a week and according to the vet: rest, cold, no route – the opposite of what a mom would normally rest!

Florida, by the way, is my speed: lots of room to run, no rules, no squirrels to annoy me, no postal workers to guard the house—just me and the sand (and, well, a few thousand birds to scare).

It was the middle of November and some days could be cold. It was very cold and windy in the morning, so we did my favorite thing at home: sleeping.

And a girl needs a beer sometimes. We found a sweet brewery that revealed my type: Grayton Brewing Co. The people who run it are really friendly, and on the plus side, the beer is really good!

How will I know? good Even though my mom said I was too young to taste the goodies, I am 52.5 dog years old! -My dad gave me a drink (he’s my favorite dad, of course). We loved it so much we even went back the second day and filled our growlers on the way!

Paddle boards (I only lend them to mom and dad) come down with us and spend the afternoon paddling those calm waters. I think the water there might be calmer than my lake area in Tennessee.

Did you know there are demons in Florida (and come to think of it, I thought they lived in Georgia…)? If you watch the video I made for all of you, you will be able to spot them!

The people of Florida thought so much that they released the state for a week so we could have it all. Floridians, you really should (that’s for people).

Mom promised to get off social media for a week – HIGH; Speaking of which (shameless plug!) will you be following MY new Instagram page, @BustedPuppy?! – and dad plans to read a lot. None of that happened, but I made sure they focused on one important issue, and it did

In fact, Florida beaches are my natural camouflage – who knew? (Yes, I would have been brought to this magical bay sooner! Harumph.)

Our trip was very quick; Before I knew it, we packed up the Jeep and headed to Orlando for our universal vacation.

ANSWER | COMPENSATION POLICY | TERMS OF USE | NOT DELIVERED ON SITE | COPYRIGHT © CAMELS & CHOCOLATE, 2024 Not sure if you’ll be visiting St. Augustine and bring Fido or Fluffy? The Oldest City is a pet-friendly city with plenty of dog-friendly accommodations and things to do. Read on for some tips on pet-friendly hotels and restaurants, things to do with your dog, and even vacations with your pooch’s other furry friends.

Whether you’re looking for pet-friendly accommodations on the beach or in the historic center, there’s plenty to choose from with these welcoming dogs and cats. If you have a larger dog, ask about size and breed restrictions. Some hotels that accept large dogs include Old City House Inn, Beacher’s Lodge, and Southern Oaks Inn.

Witty Whisker Cat Cafe is the perfect place to enjoy and welcome a new feline friend; Not a place to bring pets. If you’re looking for furry beauty in St. Augustine, visit Witty Whisker.

What could be better than going out to eat and asking the waiter to bring you a bowl of water? Such a simple gesture is like meeting a new dog lover. It doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things, but it’s just cute and will make you smile. Visitors to Santo Agostinho who bring their pets always receive such recognition.

Maybe you want to take your pet with you, but don’t want to worry about them on vacation. If so, a hotel/pet day care service is the option for you. St. Augustine has several dog sitting providers that can really keep your pooch entertained.

Pet Paradise is less than five miles from downtown. With a webcam service, you can check at any time of the day. You can catch them swimming in the bone-shaped pool, play with the friendly staff or relax in your air-conditioned suite.

Destin Dog Friendly Sailing

Dog Town USA is another pet-friendly hotel that’s especially convenient if you’re driving from Jacksonville or further north. Located on US 1, 10 miles north of historic downtown St. Augustine, Dog Town USA will pamper your pet with private playtime, bathing opportunities, and even “exercise lessons” upon request.

The most obvious choice for dog-friendly activities in St. Augustine is a trip to the beach! Dogs are allowed at all St. Augustine beaches except Anastasia State Park. Dogs must be on a leash, so if your dogs are like mine, you may want to wear shoes. They see a seagull and immediately chase after it – I think they hear “my, my, my…” just like when they found Nemo.

Just as you don’t want people to leave trash on the beach, clean up after your pet. Most beachgoers have bags, but sometimes they run out, so you can bring your own.

If you’re taking your dog to the beach for an extended period of time, I recommend that your friend bring an extra umbrella or dog tent. Even swimming in the ocean and running the rapids can be too much sun for dogs and can cause them to overheat. Of course, this is obvious to the pet owner, but be sure to bring them plenty of fresh water. Word to the wise: bring more. Many times one of my dogs knocked over his water bowl and I had to run to the gas station to get another bottle of water.

A Dog’s (beach) Life

If you have a small dog, you can wash off some of the sand in the outdoor shower. Most public parking lots with access to the beach have these showers.

And a final word about beaches, dogs, sea turtles and birds. Migratory birds nest in St. Augustine coast from April to August
