Dog Friendly Holidays Guernsey – Whether you enjoy beaches or long walks along the cliffs, Guernsey is a great place to visit with your dog. Dogs are welcome on the clifftop walkways, in many outdoor dining areas and even in some shops and cafes. Here you’ll find a range of pet-friendly accommodation on the islands, from campsites to five-star hotels.
Most beaches on the islands allow dogs to enjoy the space all year round, but you should check this in the summer months, as some beaches are restricted from 1 May to 30 September. The full list can be found here.

Visiting Alderney With Your Dog
Fauxquets Valley Campsite is located in the heart of Guernsey, making it a great base from which to explore the beautiful island of Guernsey. Tucked into the side of the valley, away from traffic noise, it is a 20-minute walk from buses, pubs and restaurants and 1.5 miles from sandy beaches.
Having stayed at several campsites in France over the years, this campsite has a real French feel and is a popular spot in Guernsey, and I can see why.
A well-stocked shop with friendly staff and a heated outdoor pool – a big hit with families! The laundry block is well maintained and clean.
The campground is super family friendly with a playground and a playground with goal posts. There is a game room with table tennis and a pool table and don’t forget the animals…meet pigs, sheep, chickens and turkeys in the woods.
Somerset Log Cabin. Dog Friendly Holiday Cottages
There are several options for camping sites in the Les Fauxquets valley for tents and campers less than 5 meters. You can choose from a standard camping pitch of 9 x 6.6 meters with EHU, or a luxury camping pitch of 10 x 10 meters with additional parking space, a large camping pitch of 12 x 10 meters with EHU or outside without electricity.
For campers or caravans there is a standard size of 9 x 7 m with an electric option. There are full service level pitches measuring 9x7m with water and electricity. and X-LARGE in full treatment 12 x 7 m.
There are many pitches around the campsite, some are shaded if you wish. I like that you can choose your seat at the front desk from the available sites, instead of having to assign it at the entrance. We always try to choose a place in the back – somehow, as we feel it is better when walking with a dog!
Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. Dogs are not allowed in or around the swimming pool.

There are many places where you can eat or drink. We love nothing more than fish and chips on the beach in Cobo Bay to watch the sunset.
There are many amazing beaches with white sand and broken turquoise water to choose from. If you are traveling with a dog, there are also many dog-friendly beaches. If water sports are your thing, you’ll love Guernsey! There are many beautiful places to explore, rent paddle boards or kayaks, or swim in the wind.
