Tucks is a beautiful winery set on a hill in the wine country of the Mornington Peninsula. Located next to its sister property, Montalorto, Tucks offers a relaxing atmosphere for wine lovers and dog lovers alike. Tucks offers an excellent selection of food and wine, as well as dog-friendly dining on the patio or open lawn. I come with a difference! Located in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula, Green Olive is a family business with two Kelpies (Rasa and Indy) and two Maremmas (Pisa and Bachi). Green Olive offers farm holidays for children and dogs. They grow olives, grapes, herbs and vegetables on their 27-hectare farm. The Yarra Valley is home to some of De Bortoli’s renowned vineyards, and while your dog can join you, there are places to enjoy wine with your furry friend. Established in 1838, Yering is known as Victoria’s first vineyard. Located in the Yarra Valley, considered the most temperate region in Australia, Yering is considered one of the most important wineries in the country. Yering offers a variety of dining and entertainment options, from a restaurant and bar to an outdoor bar and galleries. Yeringa Restaurant offers panoramic views of the Yarra Valley and the gallery hosts exhibitions throughout the year, including the Yarra Valley Sculpture Show and Art Awards – there’s something for everyone, including the dog! At Yeringa, dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas (on a lead – no stray dogs will be found!).
Pinot Grigio Pioneers! Need I say more?! T’Gallant is “inspired by Italy but firmly rooted in the Mornington Peninsula”. The T’Gallant Hotel is located on an old apple orchard at the foot of the Main Ridge. Although they are famous for their wines, they are almost as famous for their pizzeria, which serves delicious wood-fired pizza all year round. Oh, and T’Gallant loves his furry friends – in fact, he thinks they’re “cute”! So next time you’re heading to the Mornington Peninsula pop into T’Gallant where you and the pooch can relax in their outdoor space with a glass of prosecco in one hand and a slice of primo pizza in the other!

The Best Pet Friendly Hotels In Yarra Valley, Australia
It wouldn’t be a visit to the Yarra Valley without a stop at a winery or two… And even better, many wineries welcome adorable dogs to join you in the tasting room. During our visit we visited dog friendly wineries in the Yarra Valley.
Helen’s Hill Estate: Helen’s Hill is a family winery with a long list of wines on two properties: Helen’s Hill and the Ingram Road line. You should find a variety of wines to suit your palate, whatever your palette, and Brichley Block Chardonnay is my personal favourite.
Helen and Joey: Helen and Joey’s basement opens to one of the most beautiful views of the valley from the large outdoor deck. Choose between tasting many wines indoors or on the terrace with amazing views. Either way, don’t miss your chance to say hello to their resident unicorn!
Yering Farm Wines: The cellar door at Yering Farm Wines is quintessentially Australian. The farm is a 19th century vineyard and the cottage is a restored luxury thatched cottage. The wines offered are Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. Don’t miss the opportunity to try Farm Apple Syder, made from apples grown on the farm.
Yarra Valley Wine Tasting
Maddens Rise: Going through the small screen of Maddens Rise, everything is well done considering the quality. Since all the grapes are cut into small pieces, the selection of wines is smaller than in other places, but carefully chosen. Their Arcobaleno (Italian for “rainbow”) blend includes many white varieties you won’t find anywhere else in the valley.
Payten & Jones: Both the wines and the Payten & Jones cellar door are very personal. The wines are “dirty and sweet with little spirit left in them” and their brewery in Healesville has a wine cellar open on Friday evenings and Fridays. The bar is the perfect place to sit in the sun at the end of a day of wine tasting.
Sometimes the rules can change, so I always recommend checking before entering (or before) to see if dogs are allowed at the wineries you want to visit. It’s best to visit during a quieter time (like midweek) rather than a busy weekend when you’ll be trampling. Also, make sure your dog does not disturb other guests.
Wineries aren’t the only dog-friendly places to try in the Yarra Valley. There are also bars and pubs to keep your pup entertained.
Victoria’s Dog Friendly Wineries
In between visits to the wineries, we also visited the Watts River Brewery in Healesville. All beer is made on site. It can be tasted in many different ways and in many specialties, which change often.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Healesville, Four Pillars Gin Distillery Boutique is also a dog. Be sure to book in advance as dog food meals are limited. While you enjoy the treat, your dog will have his own special water bowl.
A self-guided wine tour can be a challenge because the person is the designated driver and refuses to do more than a brief tasting or two. And if you take your dog with you, it’s even more work.

Rochford Wines Yarra Valley
Jeff and Helen, who run Pooches and Pinot, know all the dog options in the Valley. They will organize a tour for you (after you ask about your tastes and requirements) and then drive you around the valley in style in one of their luxury cars.
Jeff came to us at 10 o’clock from our house in their new Mercedes Benz, which has six seats in the back, one in the front. Each passenger can accommodate up to two dogs (if they are already friends), in the rear beds or between the seats if there is space. In general, Schnitzel insisted that we stay on our feet the whole way.
While we sampled at various wineries (including a beer tasting at Watts River Brewery), Jeff made sure we were well taken care of and that Schnitzel’s needs were not neglected when it came to embarrassment. We take him for walks and take care of him every now and then. . care. VIP parties like these will make it a great day for you and your pups.
Pooches and Pinot offers tour options: half day (Monday to Friday only), full day (with lunch at a cafe or winery) or go on an incredible adventure with a delicious journey. Just a few blocks from Healesville town center is Coronation Park, an off-leash park. There is a short trail along the creek, perfect for dogs to rest on hot days and large shady trees.
