Both Tenby North Beach and Castle Beach have a dog ban from May 1 to September 30. Tenby South Beach is the best place to walk your dog on the sand. There are some restrictions to the left of the South Beach parking lot, but the rest of the beach is free for your dog to roam and play.
Jackson’s Bay is a dog-friendly beach on Barry Island; However, please note that Whitmore Bay has a no dogs policy from May 1st to September 30th each year.
Anglesey has only seven beaches where dogs are restricted. These are; Beaumaris, Benlech, Cemaes Bay, Llanddon, Llanddwyn (Newbrough), Porth Dafarch and Treardurr Bay. These restrictions apply from May 1 to September 30. See Anglesey Town Council for more information and maps.
During the summer months there are several beaches where dogs are totally or partially prohibited.
